Author Correction: Root microbiota drive direct integration of phosphate stress and immunity

A scientific article published in 2017 had a small mistake in one of its figures. The figure was labeled incorrectly, showing a plant line called Col-0 when it should have shown a phosphate starvation reporter line called IPS1–GUS in the Col-0 background. This mistake happened during the preparation of the figure, but it does not change the study’s results or conclusions. The corrected figure is now available. This correction is important because it ensures that scientific information is accurate and reliable. The study involved researchers from various institutions, including the University of North Carolina and the University of Kentucky, who worked together to explore plant genetics. QUESTION: Why do you think it’s important for scientists to correct even small errors in their published work?
