Epstein’s longtime accountant testifies he was ‘not aware’ of sex offender’s crimes

Richard Kahn, who was Jeffrey Epstein’s accountant, testified before the House Oversight Committee, saying he was unaware of Epstein’s crimes and regrets any unintentional assistance he may have provided. Kahn worked with Epstein from 2005 until Epstein’s death in 2019 and was made a co-executor of Epstein’s estate. During the testimony, Kahn admitted to facilitating a fake marriage and impersonating Epstein in bank communications. He also mentioned that Epstein frequently talked about Donald Trump. The committee is investigating Epstein’s activities and whether there was any government cover-up. Kahn identified five clients who paid Epstein but stated he saw no transactions involving Trump or his family. The investigation aims to uncover the truth about Epstein’s operations and any potential government involvement. QUESTION: Why do you think it’s important for investigations like this to uncover the truth, even after someone involved has passed away?
