Doors were propped open at missing mother’s Arizona home, Savannah Guthrie recounts in interview

Nancy Guthrie, an 84-year-old woman from Arizona, went missing under suspicious circumstances. Her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, a co-anchor on NBC’s “Today,” shared that the back doors of Nancy’s home were found open, with blood on the doorstep and a camera removed. Savannah and her siblings believe their mother was kidnapped, possibly for ransom, and have offered a $1 million reward for information. The FBI released footage of a masked man near Nancy’s home on the night she disappeared. Savannah expressed guilt, fearing her public profile might have made her mother a target. Despite some fake ransom notes, the family responded to two they believed were real. Savannah emphasized the need for answers and urged anyone with information to come forward. QUESTION: How might the fear of being targeted because of a family member’s public profile impact someone’s life and choices?
