‘I have no recollection of anything’ – Epstein survivor says she was drugged and raped

A woman, referred to as Nicky, has publicly shared her experience of being drugged and raped by Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, in an interview with BBC Newsnight. Nicky, who was 19 and working as a model when she met Epstein, recounted how she was invited to his mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, to give him a massage. After the massage, Epstein offered her a drink of water, after which she blacked out for 12 hours. Upon waking, she felt unwell and noticed signs of sexual assault, although she couldn’t remember the incident. Nicky believes Epstein drugged and raped her. She was encouraged to speak out by other survivors and is now urging the US Department of Justice to release all remaining files on Epstein. Her story highlights the manipulative and abusive tactics Epstein used against young women. QUESTION: How might sharing personal stories of trauma, like Nicky’s, impact both survivors and the broader community in terms of awareness and justice?
