French police stop apparent bomb attack outside Bank of America building

French police thwarted a potential bomb attack outside a Bank of America building in Paris early Saturday morning. A man was arrested as he attempted to detonate a homemade explosive device, which consisted of nine pints of liquid fuel, 23 ounces of explosive powder, and an ignition system. The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. in the 8th arrondissement, near the Champs-Élysées, while the bank was closed, ensuring no employees were harmed. French anti-terror prosecutors are investigating the case as a terrorist act, with the Paris police and domestic intelligence service also involved. The swift action of the police was praised by French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez, who highlighted the prevention of a violent terrorist act. Bank of America is cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues. QUESTION: How might the quick response of law enforcement in situations like this influence public trust and safety perceptions in major cities?
