Iran warns U.S. against ground invasion, Israel to expand Lebanon operation

Mourners gathered near Beirut for the funerals of three journalists killed by an Israeli airstrike during the Israel-Hezbollah conflict in southern Lebanon. Ali Shoeib, a correspondent for Hezbollah’s al-Manar TV, and Fatima Ftouni, a reporter, along with her brother Mohammed, a cameraman for al-Mayadeen TV, died when their car was targeted. Israel’s military accused Shoeib of being a Hezbollah intelligence operative but provided no evidence. Lebanese officials condemned the attack as a war crime, with President Joseph Aoun stating it violated international law. Mourners expressed anger, chanting against the U.S. and Israel. Meanwhile, Pope Leo XIV, during Palm Sunday Mass, emphasized that God does not justify war, calling for peace. The conflict has seen religious justifications from various leaders, including U.S. and Russian officials. An American-born Israeli soldier was also reported killed in the fighting. QUESTION: How might the loss of journalists in conflict zones impact the way we receive and understand news from those areas?
