Man accused in Molotov cocktail attack of OpenAI CEO’s home opposed AI, court documents say

A 20-year-old man named Daniel Moreno-Gama has been charged with throwing a Molotov cocktail at the home of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in San Francisco, allegedly due to his opposition to artificial intelligence. Moreno-Gama is accused of setting fire to Altman’s gate and later threatening to burn down OpenAI’s headquarters. He was arrested with incendiary devices and a document expressing his anti-AI views and threats against Altman. The FBI searched his home in Texas, and he faces federal charges for possession of an unregistered firearm and property damage. No injuries were reported, but the incident highlights concerns about the risks of AI and the extreme actions some individuals might take against it. QUESTION: How might the fear of artificial intelligence influence people’s actions and decisions in the future?
