The retention risk AI misses

In today’s job market, the traditional notion of staying with one company for decades is becoming outdated, especially among younger workers. The Great Resignation may be fading, but job-hopping remains prevalent, with Gen Z employees averaging just 1.1 years at a job. New hires are particularly prone to leaving, with those having two years or less at a company being 38% more likely to quit within the next year. To retain employees, companies must focus on creating meaningful work experiences and genuine growth opportunities, as these are factors that artificial intelligence cannot measure. Retention is not a one-time achievement but a continuous effort that requires companies to earn their employees’ loyalty by making their work feel significant and their personal development tangible.
