Author Correction: HER2 expression identifies dynamic functional states within circulating breast cancer cells

A correction has been issued for a scientific article originally published in Nature in 2016. The article contained errors in the assembly of certain histology images related to HER2-stained tumors. Specifically, images in Extended Data Fig. 3c, Fig. 4f, and Extended Data Fig. 6g were incorrectly assembled, with some images mistakenly sourced from untreated tumors. These errors have been addressed by replacing the incorrect images with the correct ones, and the revised images are now available as supplementary information online. This correction ensures the accuracy and reliability of the research findings presented in the article. The authors involved in this research are affiliated with prestigious institutions such as Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. QUESTION: How might the accuracy of scientific research impact public trust in scientific findings?
