Singer D4vd is arrested months after a teen’s remains were found in his car

Singer D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, has been arrested on suspicion of murdering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Her decomposed body was discovered in his abandoned Tesla in the Hollywood Hills. The 21-year-old artist is being held without bail as authorities prepare to present the case to prosecutors. The investigation, which had been ongoing and involved a grand jury, became public when D4vd’s family contested subpoenas in Texas. Celeste was reported missing in 2024 from Lake Elsinore, California. Her body was found dismembered in a cadaver bag inside the Tesla, which was registered to D4vd at his family’s Texas address. The cause of death has not been disclosed, and D4vd’s representatives have not commented on the case. QUESTION: How might the involvement of a public figure in a criminal case impact public perception and the legal process?
