Earthquakes score 5 times after halftime and beat Austin FC 5-1 to move into 1st place in the West

Jack Jasinski scored his first MLS goal, and Preston Judd added two more in a six-minute span, leading the San Jose Earthquakes to a 5-1 victory over Austin FC. This win marks San Jose’s fifth consecutive victory, propelling them to the top of the Western Conference standings for the first time since 2012. The Earthquakes, now with an 8-1-0 record, are experiencing their best start in club history. Despite trailing 1-0 at halftime after Joseph Rosales scored for Austin, San Jose rallied in the second half. Jasinski equalized in the 58th minute, and Timo Werner’s penalty kick in the 78th minute gave them the lead. Judd’s two late goals sealed the win. This match continued the trend of high-scoring encounters between the two teams, with most of their meetings featuring multiple goals.
