DNA found on a smoothie straw links suspect to teen’s 1984 killing

In 1984, two teenage girls, Kelly Morrissey and Theresa Fusco, disappeared from Lynbrook, New York, within five months of each other. Kelly, 15, vanished on June 12 after leaving her home, and Theresa, 16, disappeared on November 10 after leaving her job at a roller rink. Their disappearances highlighted the challenges of finding missing persons in an era without modern technology. The case remains significant as it underscores the differences in communication and investigation methods between then and now. QUESTION: How might the advancements in technology and communication today change the outcome of similar missing person cases?
