Investigators in Trump Assassination Attempt Look Through Bluesky for Suspect’s Motive

Federal authorities are investigating whether Cole Tomas Allen, who was charged with attempting to assassinate President Trump, is the person behind the Bluesky account “coldforce.” This account, known for its liberal views, criticized Trump as a “sociopathic mob boss” and accused Democratic leaders of collaborating with “Nazis.” Allen, 31, allegedly planned to attack the White House Correspondents’ dinner with weapons. The Bluesky posts, starting in late 2024, mostly expressed frustration with the Trump administration’s foreign and immigration policies. While most posts did not promote violence, some suggested dissatisfaction with the American political system, labeling it as morally flawed.
