Defending champion PSG faces 6-time winner Bayern in Champions League semifinal

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is set to host Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal. PSG, led by coach Luis Enrique, is at full strength, while Bayern, under Vincent Kompany, has already secured its 35th Bundesliga title and is aiming for a treble. Kompany is suspended and will not be present at the match. Bayern previously defeated PSG 2-1 in Paris during the league stage, with Luis Díaz scoring twice. PSG, a two-time finalist, is in its third consecutive semifinal, facing a Bayern team unbeaten since January 24 and having scored 19 goals in their last five games. Bayern’s Harry Kane recently scored his 53rd goal of the season, contributing to a comeback win against Mainz. PSG, leading Ligue 1, rested key players in a recent victory over Angers and hopes to have midfielders Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz ready. Paris Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire expressed support for PSG, attending the game and encouraging a victory. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid will face Arsenal in the other semifinal. QUESTION: How might the absence of Bayern’s coach, Vincent Kompany, from the touchline impact the team’s performance in such a crucial match?
