SpaceX launches Falcon Heavy rocket carrying powerful satellite

SpaceX successfully launched its 12th Falcon Heavy rocket from Florida, deploying a ViaSat-3 internet satellite into orbit. This powerful rocket, featuring three Falcon 9 boosters, lifted off from Kennedy Space Center, marking its first mission since October 2024. The launch was a spectacle, with the two side boosters returning to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station for a synchronized landing, while the central core stage was expended into the Atlantic Ocean. The mission required three upper stage engine firings to place the satellite in an elliptical orbit, allowing it to eventually reach a geosynchronous orbit 22,300 miles above the equator. This launch is part of SpaceX’s broader efforts to expand global internet access, complementing its Starlink satellite constellation. SpaceX has launched nearly 12,000 Starlink satellites over the past seven years, aiming to provide widespread internet coverage. QUESTION: How might the expansion of satellite internet networks like Starlink and ViaSat impact global communication and access to information in the future?
