5 wounded in stabbing attack at Washington state high school, police say

At least five people were injured in a stabbing incident at Henry Foss High School in Tacoma, Washington, on Thursday. The attack occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. local time, involving four students and a campus security officer who were either stabbed or cut. A juvenile suspect was detained at the scene and later charged with five counts of first-degree assault. All victims and the suspect were taken to local hospitals, with four in critical condition and one with minor injuries. The suspect also sustained minor injuries. The school was placed on lockdown, and parents were directed to meet their children in the parking lot. Classes were canceled for Friday, but the school plans to reopen on Monday with additional support staff. The motive behind the attack remains unclear as police continue their investigation. QUESTION: How might incidents like this impact the sense of safety and community within a school environment?
