Author Correction: Titration of RAS alters senescent state and influences tumour initiation

A recent correction was made to a scientific article published in Nature. The article originally contained an error in a t-SNE plot, which is a type of data visualization. The plot was supposed to show gene expression for “Cdkn1a” (also known as p21) but mistakenly displayed “Cdkn1b” (p27) instead. This mistake has been fixed in both the online and PDF versions of the article. Importantly, this error did not impact the study’s text or its conclusions. The research involved contributions from scientists at various institutions, including the University of Cambridge and the University of Liverpool, and focused on cancer research. QUESTION: How might correcting errors in scientific research impact the trust and progress in the scientific community?
