The race against time to find eagles escaped from Dollywood

A team of police officers, executives, and avian specialists is urgently searching for a bald eagle named Rockland, who escaped from Dollywood’s sanctuary in Tennessee after a storm damaged their enclosure. Rockland, along with two other eagles, Wesley and Caesar, went missing when a tree fell on their netted habitat. Dollywood, co-owned by Dolly Parton, hosts the largest sanctuary for non-releasable bald eagles in partnership with the American Eagle Foundation (AEF). While Caesar has been successfully recaptured, Rockland and Wesley remain at large, prompting the sanctuary to request public assistance in locating them. The eagles have limited flight abilities, raising concerns for their safety. Despite numerous sightings and tips, including calls from various states, Rockland continues to evade capture. The search is ongoing, with the foundation’s team remaining hopeful and vigilant in their efforts to bring the eagles back safely. QUESTION: How might the escape of these eagles impact public awareness and support for wildlife conservation efforts?
