Former Epstein prison guard says her life was upended by conspiracy theories, threats

A former corrections officer, Tova Noel, testified before the House Oversight Committee about the impact of conspiracy theories and threats on her life following Jeffrey Epstein’s death. Noel, who was on duty the night Epstein died, was initially charged with falsifying records but denied any involvement in his death. She attributed the issues to understaffing and systemic failures at the Metropolitan Correctional Center. She expressed frustration over ongoing rumors and conspiracy theories linking her to Epstein’s death, despite her attempts to move on with her life. QUESTION: How might the spread of conspiracy theories and misinformation impact individuals and society as a whole?
