Group planned to attack White House UFC event using snipers and drones, FBI says

The FBI successfully prevented a planned attack on a UFC event at the White House, arresting multiple suspects involved in the plot. According to FBI head Kash Patel, the plan included using explosive-laden drones to create chaos and draw the crowd toward a sniper team, followed by a second wave of attackers storming the White House gate. The plot was uncovered when Tycen Proper, a 19-year-old from Ohio, was found communicating with a group expressing extreme religious and antigovernment views. His mother alerted authorities after noticing his large firearms purchases and concerning online interactions. The group, allegedly composed of former military members, aimed to target wealthy individuals and politicians at the event, motivated by grievances about government corruption and other issues. Five people are currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing. Secret Service Deputy Director Matt Quinn described the incident as a “serious threat” but provided limited details due to the active investigation. QUESTION: How might the use of technology, like encrypted messaging apps and drones, change the way law enforcement approaches security threats in the future?
