Ukraine strikes Moscow oil refinery amid large-scale drone attack

Ukraine launched a significant drone attack on Russia, targeting over a dozen regions, including Moscow, where an oil refinery was hit, causing black smoke to rise over the city. Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that 555 drones were destroyed, with 180 shot down near Moscow. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed responsibility, stating the attack was a justified response to Russian aggression and aimed at facilities supporting Russia’s military efforts. This strike is one of Ukraine’s largest since the war began over four years ago. The attack coincided with a NATO summit in Brussels, where Ukraine’s security was a key topic. Moscow’s public prosecutor reported damage and casualties in several districts. In retaliation, Russia launched attacks on Ukrainian fuel and energy facilities. QUESTION: How might the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia influence global politics and international relations in the future?
