America’s Block Party to celebrate July 4th with benefit concert

America’s Block Party is set to celebrate the United States’ 250th birthday this Fourth of July with a benefit concert in Los Angeles and events nationwide. Hosted by Queen Latifah, the concert at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will feature performances by Chris Stapleton, The Smashing Pumpkins, and other stars yet to be announced. The event supports “Giving 4th,” an initiative aiming to make Independence Day the largest single day of charitable giving in U.S. history. Tickets, priced at $17.76, will be available starting June 16, with proceeds going to Feeding America. Additionally, 5,000 free tickets will be given to first responders, veterans, and active-duty service members. The official America’s Block Party app will help fans find local events, access the livestream, and participate in Giving 4th. America250, a nonpartisan organization, is organizing these events to unify and celebrate the nation’s semiquincentennial. QUESTION: How might transforming Independence Day into a day of charitable giving impact the way Americans view and celebrate this holiday in the future?
