However, few of these strategies lead to realistic career destinations. To better prepare the future workforce, states are enacting new laws, and philanthropic organizations are providing financial support. School districts are also updating their career and technical education departments with modern logos and career “clusters” that resemble startup accelerators. These efforts aim to make career education more appealing and effective, but the challenge remains in ensuring these pathways lead to viable job opportunities.
