This man is a bus driver and grandfather. A Supreme Court ruling could reimprison him

Anthony Bailey, 61, was released from prison two years ago after serving 27 years for crimes including bank robbery and carjacking. Since his release, Bailey has become a productive member of his community in Indianapolis, working as a city bus driver and spending time with his family. However, a recent Supreme Court ruling has put his freedom at risk again. The court decided that the compassionate release program should only apply to inmates with severe illnesses or old age, not those serving long sentences that would be shorter today. This decision could send Bailey back to prison, despite his efforts to rebuild his life. Retired Judge John Gleeson, who has helped many inmates seek early release, argues that these long sentences are unjust. Bailey hopes to maintain his freedom and continue contributing positively to society. QUESTION: How might changes in the justice system impact individuals who have already served long sentences?
