Passengers restrain pilot during apparent medical emergency on ‘terrifying’ flight

Passengers on an Air Canada flight from Newark to Halifax experienced a tense situation when the pilot suffered a medical emergency, believed to be a seizure, causing the plane to swerve unexpectedly. The first officer took control and diverted the flight to Boston, where it landed safely. Passengers, including Rodney McDonald and a registered nurse, helped restrain the pilot for about 40 minutes until landing. The airline is arranging alternate travel for the 61 passengers. The incident highlights the importance of remaining calm and assisting during emergencies, as well as the need for proper medical response protocols on flights. QUESTION: How might this experience change the way airlines prepare for medical emergencies in the future?
