3 advantages homebuyers should know this summer, according to experts

This summer presents several advantages for homebuyers, according to experts. Mortgage interest rates have slightly decreased from their spring levels, with the average 30-year rate dropping from 6.62% in May to 6.37% recently. Although still higher than the sub-6% rates seen in April, the easing of tensions between the U.S. and Iran has reduced some uncertainty. Traditionally, spring is the best time to buy a home, but this summer offers unique benefits. One major advantage is reduced competition, as there are significantly more sellers than buyers, making it one of the strongest buyer’s markets on record. With 47% more sellers than buyers, bidding wars are less likely, and buyers may not need to waive inspections or rush decisions. More homes are available, and properties are staying on the market longer due to high mortgage rates, giving buyers more leverage. The level of competition may vary depending on the type of home and local market conditions. QUESTION: How might the current housing market conditions influence your decision to buy a home in the future?
