FBI orders field offices to send analysts to Atlanta for election probe

The FBI is intensifying its investigation into the 2020 election results in Fulton County, Georgia, by deploying investigative analysts from field offices nationwide to Atlanta. This move, directed by FBI Director Kash Patel, aims to evaluate thousands of records related to the election. The investigation focuses on allegations made by former President Trump, who claimed without evidence that ballot counts were manipulated in Fulton County. Despite these claims, Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia was confirmed through recounts and audits. Earlier this year, the FBI seized ballots and voting materials from Fulton County as part of the investigation. The case was referred to the FBI by Kurt Olsen, a lawyer now working for the Justice Department. The FBI has not commented on the ongoing investigation. QUESTION: How might the outcome of this investigation impact public trust in the electoral process?
