New details emerge about Empire State Building daredevil climbers, as couple released

A Russian couple, Angelina Nikolau and Ivan Kuznetsov, known for their daring skyscraper climbs, were arrested after scaling the Empire State Building’s spire in New York City. They were charged with reckless endangerment and burglary, among other offenses, and released under supervision after a court appearance. The couple allegedly accessed the building’s peak by breaking a lock on the 104th floor, posing a safety risk due to high-frequency radio signals from the antenna. The NYPD had to power down the antenna before approaching them. The couple, who have a significant online following, stayed atop the structure for several minutes, during which Kuznetsov appeared to propose to Nikolau. Their next court date is set for August 24. QUESTION: How might social media influence individuals to engage in risky behaviors like climbing skyscrapers?
