Trevor McDonald allows 1 hit over 6 scoreless innings as Giants finally beat Diamondbacks, 6-4

The San Francisco Giants ended their losing streak against the Arizona Diamondbacks with a 6-4 victory, thanks to Trevor McDonald’s impressive six scoreless innings and Victor Bericoto’s two-run homer. Heliot Ramos contributed with a solo homer and an RBI triple, helping the Giants avoid a season sweep by Arizona. McDonald, who had struggled in previous starts, allowed just one hit and struck out five. Caleb Kilian secured the win with his seventh save. The Giants’ offense was bolstered by multiple hits from Ramos, Bericoto, Jung Hoo Lee, and Drew Cavanaugh. Arizona’s Zac Gallen struggled, giving up six runs. Despite a late rally in the eighth inning, the Diamondbacks couldn’t overcome the deficit. The Giants will next face Colorado, while the Diamondbacks prepare for a series against Milwaukee. QUESTION: How do you think a team’s morale is affected by breaking a losing streak, and what impact might this have on their future games?
