On June 17, 1775, the Battle of Bunker Hill took place as colonial troops attempted to contain British forces in Boston. Despite the British winning, they suffered significant losses, allowing George Washington to eventually drive them out. To commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, archaeologists conducted a new excavation at the battle site using advanced radar technology. They discovered musket balls, gunflints, and personal items like tea ware and wig curlers, offering insights into the lives of soldiers stationed there. These findings will be analyzed to better understand the historical context and the battle’s impact.
