Meet ‘Project 2029’ — and its war on the annoyance economy

A group of Democratic policy experts is working on “Project 2029,” a plan to address everyday annoyances like robocalls, spam texts, and hidden fees, which they call the “annoyance economy.” This initiative aims to provide a future Democratic president with a comprehensive policy agenda, similar to the conservative “Project 2025” by The Heritage Foundation. Project 2029 is still developing, with proposals to make child care, health care, and housing more affordable, and to protect kids online. The goal is to have a set of bold ideas ready for immediate implementation.
