Packers career rushing leader Ahman Green says he has early onset Parkinson’s disease

Ahman Green, a former NFL running back and the Green Bay Packers’ all-time leading rusher, recently revealed that he has been diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease. The 49-year-old shared his condition on the “Go Long” podcast, explaining that he first noticed symptoms when his feet began twitching in his sleep. Parkinson’s is a neurological disorder that affects movement, often starting with tremors and leading to issues like slow movement and balance problems. Despite these challenges, Green remains optimistic, maintaining a rigorous exercise routine and a healthy diet. During his NFL career, Green was a standout player, rushing for over 9,000 yards and earning four Pro Bowl selections. His announcement follows a similar disclosure by former teammate Brett Favre, who also has Parkinson’s. Green plans to reach out to Favre to share his experience and support. QUESTION: How might Ahman Green’s openness about his diagnosis influence others facing similar health challenges?
