T.Y. Harding gets UMass off to fast start as Minutemen win consecutive games for 1st time since 2023

T.Y. Harding’s impressive performance, featuring a 49-yard touchdown reception and an 82-yard punt-return touchdown, propelled Massachusetts to a 37-10 victory over Sacred Heart, marking the Minutemen’s first consecutive wins since 2023. UMass, now 2-0, ended a 16-game losing streak with a previous win against Rutgers. Quarterback William Watson III contributed significantly, completing 9 of 10 passes for 152 yards and adding a rushing touchdown. Jahmad Harmon also shone with a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown, his third interception of the season. Sacred Heart’s sole touchdown came late in the game.
