Aaron Judge left off Yankees’ Wild Card Series roster with calf injury

In a crucial AL Wild Card Series against the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees have left injured captain Aaron Judge off their roster. Despite taking live batting practice to prove his readiness, Judge, who has been sidelined since September 16 due to a strained right calf, was not included. The Yankees did include Giancarlo Stanton, who has been out since April 24 with calf injuries, and center fielder Trent Grisham. Judge, a three-time AL MVP, has faced multiple injuries this season, limiting him to 66 games with a .241 batting average and 18 home runs. Stanton, who has also struggled with injuries, started the season with a .256 average and three home runs. The decision to exclude Judge highlights the challenges the Yankees face with player injuries as they enter the postseason. QUESTION: How might the absence of key players like Aaron Judge impact the Yankees’ performance in the postseason?
