Man accused of planning deadly Texas State Capitol attack, DPS says

A man from the San Antonio area, Benny Caldera Jr., has been accused of planning a violent attack on the Texas State Capitol in Austin. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) received credible information about the plot and, in collaboration with the FBI and local authorities, arrested Caldera at his home in Converse early Wednesday morning. He is charged with making a terroristic threat against a public servant, a serious felony. Following his arrest, Caldera was transferred from the Bexar County Jail to federal custody. The investigation is ongoing, and DPS has informed state lawmakers about the threat, ensuring the Capitol remains open with heightened security measures. The public is encouraged to report any information about potential threats through the iWatchTexas service. QUESTION: How might increased security measures at public buildings impact the daily lives of citizens and government officials?
