Israel’s prime minister says a pilot tried to crash a plane traveling to Tel Aviv

On a FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, a pilot reportedly stabbed his co-pilot and attempted to crash the plane, prompting an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. The incident, involving many Israeli passengers, is being investigated as a potential terrorist attack, though the motive remains unclear. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared that passengers intervened after the injured pilot unlocked the cockpit door, allowing them to subdue the attacker. One passenger, Yaniv Hayun, recounted how he restrained the attacker and helped stabilize the plane, inspired by a TV show. The flight also had another crew on board who assisted in landing the aircraft safely. Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, passengers were visibly shaken, with some crying and others relieved. The event highlights the bravery of ordinary people in crisis situations and raises questions about airline security and passenger safety. QUESTION: How might this incident influence future airline security measures and passenger protocols?
