Russia launches ‘massive’ attack overnight on Ukraine

Russia launched a major attack on Ukraine, targeting energy infrastructure and residential areas across at least 12 regions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russia fired around 70 missiles, many of which were ballistic, and deployed about 130 drones. The attack resulted in the deaths of five people and injuries to 26 others, including children, as missiles struck an apartment building in Pryluky and other locations. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed the strikes targeted Ukraine’s defense industries. Ukrainian officials condemned the attacks, highlighting the impact on civilians and infrastructure. This event underscores the ongoing conflict and its devastating effects on everyday life in Ukraine.
