Russian guided missile kills 30 on packed Ukrainian city buses

At least 30 people were killed and 18 wounded when a Russian guided bomb hit a street near two crowded buses in Kramatorsk, eastern Ukraine. The attack, which also involved small drones, targeted civilians, according to local officials. Video footage showed the aftermath with bodies and destroyed vehicles. In nearby villages, three more people died from Russian shelling. This marked the second day of intense Russian attacks, following a missile strike on an apartment building in Pryluky that killed 22 and injured 50. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy vowed to retaliate by targeting Russian oil refineries, accusing Russia of deliberately attacking civilian infrastructure to force evacuations. Despite Russia’s denial of targeting civilians, the conflict continues with no clear path to peace, as stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The war began with Russia’s invasion in February 2022, and the violence has persisted, affecting countless lives. QUESTION: How might the ongoing conflict in Ukraine influence the perspectives and future decisions of young people living in the region?
