Florian Sotoca opened the scoring for Lens, and Udol added a second before being shown a red card. Lyon managed a late goal through Khalis Merah, but Lens held on for the win, moving them to seventh place. In the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund dropped points for the first time this season after Werder Bremen staged a dramatic comeback to draw 2-2. Dortmund led with late goals from Daniel Svensson and Nico Schlotterbeck, but Bremen equalized with goals from Ludovit Reis and Niclas Füllkrug. Meanwhile, in La Liga, Malaga continued their winless streak with a 1-1 draw against Espanyol, thanks to a late equalizer from Adrian Nino.
