At least 12 killed, more than 300 hurt in strike on Saudi airport, officials say

At least 12 people, including one American, were killed and 309 others injured in a missile strike on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, according to Saudi officials. The victims included citizens from Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan. The injured are being treated in various hospitals, with some in critical condition. This attack is part of a series of assaults linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. President Trump stated that the U.S. is considering joining Saudi strikes against the Houthis. The U.S. State Department condemned the attacks on civilian infrastructure. The missile hit terminals 3 and 4 for domestic flights, leading to the suspension of airport operations and flight diversions. The incident has heightened tensions and affected global markets, as Saudi Arabia is a major oil exporter. QUESTION: How might the ongoing conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi rebels impact international relations and global security?
