Breaking Bad actor RJ Mitte dies aged 34

US actor RJ Mitte, known for his role as Walter White Jr. in the acclaimed series Breaking Bad, has passed away at the age of 34 in Brownsville, Texas. Mitte, who had cerebral palsy, used his personal experiences to bring authenticity to his character, the son of a drug kingpin played by Bryan Cranston. His portrayal earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2014. Beyond acting, Mitte was a dedicated advocate for disability rights, serving as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s, and founding The Mitte Foundation to promote disability awareness and inclusion. Breaking Bad, which aired from 2008 to 2013, is celebrated as one of the greatest TV series of the 21st century. Mitte’s career began in Los Angeles, where he moved to support his sister’s acting ambitions. His other credits include roles in Hannah Montana and Switched at Birth, with his latest project, Talking to Strangers, released earlier this year. QUESTION: How might RJ Mitte’s advocacy for disability rights inspire future generations to challenge stereotypes and promote inclusion?
