NYC manhole mystery: Why people are crawling in and out of New York City sewers, according to police

In recent months, several groups have been illegally entering manholes across New York City and Long Island, despite the dangers involved. The repeated incidents highlight a concerning trend and raise questions about the motivations behind these risky behaviors and the measures needed to prevent them. QUESTION: Why do you think people are willing to risk their safety to explore the city’s sewers, and what measures could be taken to discourage this behavior?
