Ben Rice hits go-ahead 2-run homer as Yankees stop 7-game skid with 5-2 victory over Twins

The New York Yankees snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Twins, thanks to Ben Rice’s two-run homer in the third inning after a rain delay. Trent Grisham contributed with a leadoff homer and a sacrifice fly, while Gerrit Cole pitched five strong innings, allowing two runs and striking out seven. The Yankees, who had been struggling, managed to score more than four runs for the first time in 13 games. José Caballero and Grisham added to the score, and David Bednar secured the win with his 17th save. The Twins, missing Byron Buxton due to injury, saw Kody Clemens and Victor Caratini contribute offensively but ultimately fell short. The Yankees’ victory marked their fourth win in 15 games and continued their dominance over the Twins in recent matchups. QUESTION: How might the Yankees’ recent victory impact their confidence and performance in upcoming games?
