Fortes, Caminero hit HRs, Rays beat Astros 3-1 for 9th straight win

Nick Fortes and Junior Caminero powered the Tampa Bay Rays to a 3-1 victory over the Houston Astros, extending their winning streak to nine games, the longest active streak in the majors. Fortes hit a home run and a run-scoring double, while Caminero added a solo homer. The Rays have now homered in eight consecutive games, although their streak of scoring at least four runs per game ended. Steven Okert and Kevin Kelly provided strong relief pitching, with Bryan Baker securing his 23rd save. Yordan Alvarez hit his 27th home run for the Astros, tying the game briefly. The Rays’ Cedric Mullins saw his streak of reaching base in 25 straight starts come to an end. The series continues with Drew Rasmussen set to pitch for the Rays against Hunter Brown of the Astros. QUESTION: How might the Rays’ current winning streak impact their confidence and performance in the upcoming games?
