Boston Logan Airport flights delayed, cancelled Sunday due to fueling issue

A fueling system issue at Boston Logan International Airport caused a ground stop on Sunday night, leading to flight cancellations and delays. Although planes continued to land, congestion occurred on the tarmac due to a lack of available gates. The problem was resolved by 10:00 p.m., and flights resumed normally. This incident added to earlier delays caused by thunderstorms during what was expected to be the busiest Fourth of July travel period in 15 years. BOSFuel, the company managing the airport’s fuel system, reported a low fuel pressure event that triggered an automatic shutdown, but the issue was quickly addressed. The Federal Aviation Administration noted that over 300,000 domestic flights were managed over the holiday weekend. QUESTION: How might unexpected travel disruptions like this impact people’s plans and emotions during busy holiday periods?
